Online Car Warranty Deals
Could you save money by buying your next car warranty policy online? Plenty of people are taking a new approach to the way in which they buy this form of cover and the results have been extremely interesting.
Buying extended warranties is still something that involves a visit to a car dealership for many people. After all, it seems obvious that cover for your vehicle should be obtained from a car retailer of this type.
This impression has continued for many years, partly because vehicle retailers are so dominant in this particular market. It's also been allowed to continue because many consumers have been unaware that alternative options exist.
Things have started to change, with independent specialists increasingly looking to sell car warranties direct to UK car owners. As a result of this desire, they've been keen to embrace the opportunities offered by the internet.
By selling online, they realise that they can reduce costs and directly approach potential customers who might otherwise be lost to car retailers.
As a result of the reduced costs, they've been able to lower policy prices. This can only be good news for consumers.
So how can you take advantage of the changing scene?
The first step that you need to take is to decide exactly what standard of cover your require. The exact terms and conditions of policies can vary considerably, as can the associated prices.
Once you've identified the type of policy that you want, you can carry out a price comparison online.
There are a number of companies that will allow you to get a free online car warranty quotation, without having any obligation to go ahead and purchase the policy.
The transparency that's available on specialist warranty websites makes it easier than it's ever been before to compare policies and prices.
If you want to get the best possible deal then take advantage of the offers that you'll find online.

I recently got solicited (via mail) for a car warranty. Is it legit?
My car is a 98 Subaru with 140,000 miles on it. I bought it about 3 months ago with no warranty. Recently I got something in the mail that said something about a warranty for my car, so I called the number on it. The guy I talked to said that (for something like $1,700) he could sell me a full powertrain warranty for my car. He said all work is done by Subaru factory authorized dealers. I'm trying to do some research on the company to see if its legit, but there is very little info about the company online. The company is called Automotive Warranty Advisors. Can anyone tell me anything about this company, or tell me if this is legit or a scam? Thanks for your help. Cheers.

Do you have to have proof of routine maintenance for a dealer (BMW) to honor an automotive warranty?
I recently bought a BMW which was pre-owned certified, but still has the balance of factory warranty left. During BMWs factory warrany period, all routine maintenance is performed free of charge, so I have those records. The factory warranty has just ran out, but the pre-owned warranty (I think 5 years/100,000 miles, bumper to bumper) has kicked in. If something goes wrong, do I need to have proof that the maintenance was done up to that point? Or only if maintenance is relative to the failure?
