Should I buy a car from a Car Dealer or a Private Individual?

The Private Individual

On the other hand, there are also some people who prefer to deal with private individuals. These people deal with private individuals for several reasons: a potentially lower selling price, a more personal touch, and a more comprehensive explanation of the car's background.

Since deals are made directly from person to person, the vehicle's price will usually be set at the lowest amount possible. The one draw back that a private individual can not provide are any warranties, or quarantees. In the event that there are issues with the car, taking it back and having the owner fix it, is not going to happen. However, car dealerships with integrity will stand behind their vehicles and will work towards a solution that works in the new car owners best interest.
