Financial Aid

trying to apply for berkeley university of california. for undergraduation program of music.?
am from india. am planning to apply for berkeley university of california,, for undergraduationg program for music... i just wanted to know. how many years do under graduation takes for music course? normally for doin ug in engineering took 4years... so for music how many years.. and plus what will they see if i apply for financial aid..?? any marks of previous 10th, 12th. or they will give for students who cant offered or only by seeing marks??? becoz i did ug in engineering computer science but now am into music very badly... i play guitar.. so ,,,, so plz help me by telling how many years will it take to complete undergraduationg for music and for applying financial aid do they see marks and give aid for only good scores or they give according to the family financial conditions??? am doin my ug engineering which i did a mistake and wanted to do ug in music in unveristy of california barkeley.... and also wanted to know which campus is the best for music in uc.

Life has me feeling so down?
A little background info: I am a female, 20, in college, and am in a relationship. I will also be studying abroad for a year this september. I have been dreaming about studying abroad for years upon years. And I am so ecstatic that the opportunity has come to me. I am going to Japan and am counting down the days. I also have an all time favorite band. Rammstein. I love their music, I love the vocals, and I have been infatuated and attracted to the singer forever. And earlier this month, I was actually able to attend one of their concerts, which was like a dream come true. Problem is, thoughts of just listening to their music all day, doing nothing, dreaming about being with the singer, and going to Japan are al I want to do. My boyfriend and I have been together for 3.5 years. I love him, but I don't think I love him intimately anymore. He is bi-polar, is rude to me sometimes, loving the next, buys me everything, then is mentally abusive later. I have grown tired of this and wish I could leave. He is buying my plane ticket in the next couple weeks to Japan though, until I can pay him back when my financial aid kicks in when September hits. And I've been dreaming about being with my favorite band, dating my favorite musician ever, living in Germany...just anything to get away from here. I have even been regretting that I chose to go to Japan and not Germany. My mom, who has always been there for me, became involved in a new relationship and is acting like a teenager in love, and I never hear from her, whenever I go over, she's never there, and it's just a matter of time before they move in together at his house. At that point, I'll have no where to go. And I'll feel trapped at my boyfriend's (I live with him). When we get into fights, I'll have no where to go and collect my thoughts. I don't have my friends anymore because of my boyfriend and his controlling attitude. When I come back from Japan, I plan to go to Germany next, and hopefully in one of those places, I can find something I can do, and just start over new, a fresh clean slate. I hate my life here with my boyfriend and his family. It's like I don't have any of my own. So I find dreaming about my favorite things and what would make me the happiest to be very helpful in relieving my stress inside. I had a dream last night where all my dreams came true, and I was with the frontman of Rammstein, and when I woke up and realized everything in life was the same, I became so depressed, adding to everything I've been feeling already. I don't know if I'm looking for feedback or insight, or if I needed to just vent. Whatever insight is given, I appreciate it though. Thank you for listening
