I'm a luxury car enthusiast. Who isn't, really? But, I love collecting luxury cars, too, and the luxury brand that I've had the most experience with is definitely Mercedes. Every so often when I'm feeling frisky, I'll head on down to my Chicago Mercedes-Benz dealer, hop in the newest and most expensive car that the brand has on the market and take her out on a joyride. Obviously, I can't really open up a test-drive car on the highway, but I definitely gun her up there, open the windows and feel the fresh air on my face as I pilot one of the most fantastic vehicles available on the contemporary car market. Even Chicago used Mercedes drivers are having an experience that isn't comparable to any other drive on the market.

Now, after four years of planning out the newest Chicago-area Mercedes-Benz dealer, it looks like the general manager (Craig Falkenthal) is very close to celebrating the groundbreaking of the brand new St. Charles Mercedes-Benz location. The new 35, 000-square-foot facility is across the street from the dealership's current location on Randall Road. It always gives me a bit of a chill when a new Mercedes location opens up, and I end up hopping into my own Mercedes and taking a cruise down to the new dealership. I like to walk in and meet everyone who works there, because you never know who could turn out to be a good contact when I'm thinking about buying my next new or used Mercedes.
