Why Auto Insurance company charge customer more money at the renewal period ?
I am with Progressive auto insurance now and I reach the renewal period, which the company has noticed me. The company charges me with the higher cost than my previous contract though I didn't change anything and I still maintain of being a good driver. I just wonder why they charge higher at the renewal.

I just got my first car and i am on a plan with my mom now for progressive and i am paying every 6 months because you get a discount that way. I just got the bill in and it is $630. Can i pay half the bill tomorrow and pay the other half in two weeks when i get paid? Will it make a difference? help please
