Getting the Best Customer Service From Toyota

Even a vehicle from Toyota is not an exception. Every automobile including the one from Toyota occasionally encounter a problem. The matter of concern is how to resolve any such problem that occurs to a Toyota car, truck or an SUV. In such situations, it is always better to contact the customer service representative or General Manager available with the local dealer immediately for a solution.

Any dealership believes in building a long-term customer relationship. This can be only achieved through advertisements and developing confidence in the customers. The most convenient and inexpensive way to achieve this objective is to attend to the problems of customers instantly and provide a satisfactory solution to their problem. However, it is not always true that the dealer would have the solution for every problem. Even then, a Toyota Dealership can prove to be a useful resource if the customer proves that he is good and worth helping.

In order to get the best customer service at a Toyota Dealership, the customer must be polite and kind. The customer should adopt a courteous attitude while discussing his problems with anybody at the dealership. Shouting or yelling at people would only make the situation work against the customer as the dealership would not feel the customer worth preserving. The customer can even directly approach the General Manager of the dealership in order to get his problem resolved as this person is usually an experienced professional.

In situations where the local dealership is unable to provide any assistance or solve the problem, the customer could make a call to the Toyota s national hotline or the nearest regional office of Toyota.

Intermittent check engine light on 94 Corolla.. can I make this 2000 mile trip?
I own a 1994 Toyota Corolla station wagon with about 118k miles. My check engine light has been coming on and going off for over two years. Because it's an OBD-I, I was forced to take it to a Toyota dealership in August '10, where they told me I needed a new O2 sensor. I had this repair done at PepBoys in January '11. But the light still comes on and goes off! (I notice this somsetimes after I spend about an hour on the interstate. When I exit and start going slower, sometimes the light will come on.) I've replaced the gas cap, gotten several shops to guess at it... I passed emissions in June '10. The car does not over heat, does not make any noise, does not run weird. About the only difference I can tell is that since I bought the car in '08, the pick up is a bit laggier. I'm moving from Chicago to LA, and I need to decide whether to sell this car or pack it up and drive out. I'm planning on taking it to a shop this week, but I'm just wondering what you guys think so I don't end up paying for useless repairs or anything. Does it sound like this car can make it without me breaking down in the middle of CO? THANK YOU!!! =) Thanks for the help! I don't remember the code that came back, but Toyota specifically told me it was an O2 sensor. I just didn't care for their price, so I had it replaced at another shop. I'll specifically ask for them to check the EGR valve, then? Thanks so much for your help! This has been driving me nuts for years. =)
