Ps3 Service Question.?
Okay, I have a really simple question about my PS3 being sent to the company to be serviced. Well the person who talked to me on the phone when I called, said since I had it for more than 2 years. They could service it for free. So I finally received the box I need to ship it in but the form I have to fill out, there two options and I have to check on of them. so what one do i check Warranty Service or Paid Service. And the thing is, is I dint have a warranty anymore they just are being very nice and fixing for free. I don't know if its that important I just don't want to get it shipped back not fixed because I dint know what to mark.. and please answer soon!!!! To the person who responded... what will they do because I guess I marked the wrong thing... UGH!!!

Phone warranty information?
If I bought a phone off say eBay, and the phone was under warranty and broke, how would I fix it via the warranty? I know usually you would have to take it back to where you bought it from say Carphone warehouse or phones 4 u?? Could you get a warranty service through the manufacturer instead of where the handset was originally purchased like apples great warranty service? Thanks

BC Hydro fried my computer?
A few days ago a man showed up from BC Hydro and installed a new power meter with no warning. At the time I was using my laptop computer and had it plugged into the wall. When he had finished installing the meter, the power surged in my house, and the surge fried my computer. I was using a surge protected cord that is still under warranty. The cost of re-wiring and/or transferring the files from this computer to another is very high, and I am wondering what the likely hood is that BC Hydro or HP (the power cord manufacturer) will replace my computer. The warranty for my cord reads as follows: Hewlett-Packard (HP) warrants to the end-user customer that the HP products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the duration described on the product description page... HP?s limited warranty covers only those defects that arise as a result of normal use of the product and does not cover any other problems, including those that arise as a result of: (i) improper maintenance or modification; (ii) software, media, parts or supplies not provided or supported by HP; (iii) operation outside the product?s specifications; or (iv) unauthorized modification or misuse... If HP receives, during the applicable warranty period, notice of a defect in any product which is covered by HP?s warranty, HP shall either repair or replace the product, at HP?s option. If HP is unable to repair or replace, as applicable, a defective product which is covered by HP?s warranty, HP shall, within a reasonable time after being notified of the defect, refund the purchase price of the product. HP shall have no obligation to repair, replace or refund until the customer returns the defective product to HP. Any replacement product may be either new or like-new, provided that it has functionality at least equal to that of the product being replaced. HP products may contain remanufactured parts, components, or materials equivalent to new in performance. HP?s Limited Warranty Statement is valid in any country where the covered HP product is distributed by HP. Contracts for additional warranty services, such as on-site service, may be available from any authorized HP service facility in countries where the product is distributed by HP or by an authorized importer.
